Ingredients of Salsa verde

  1. You need 1 lb of tomatillos.
  2. Prepare 2 of poblano peppers.
  3. It's to taste of salt, pepper.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of each garlic & onion powder.
  5. It's 2 tbsp of smoked paprika.
  6. Prepare 4 cloves of garlic.
  7. You need 1/2 c of water or vegtable broth.
  8. Prepare 1/2 c of fresh cilantro.
  9. It's of juice of 1 medium lime.

Salsa verde instructions

  1. Somesort of electric chopper is advised but not necessary. i got this for $5.
  2. Clean and rub tomatillos & poblanos with oil, spray pan with cooking spray..
  3. Season tomatillos and peppers in roasting pan.
  4. Roast at 450 for 30 min.
  5. Remove core of tomatillos and pepper stems..
  6. Use electric chopper to finely chop peppers, tomatillos, & garlic.
  7. Add water/broth, seasoning, and blended mixture to sausepan..
  8. Simmer over medium low heat for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat then add lime juice and cilantro, stir well.
  10. Serve hot or cold. Store in fridge or freezer..
